Author Dr. Stephen Flynn is the Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Senior Fellow in National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. He is among the world's most widely cited experts on homeland security and trade and transportation security issues. Dr. Flynn is also the author of the critically acclaimed bestseller American the Vulnerable, and his most recent work The Edge of Disaster. In 2002, Trade Innovations Principal Michael Laden and Dr. Flynn testified together before the Senate Finance Committee chaired by Senator Joseph Lieberman. In the subsequent years Mr. Laden and Mr. Flynn have crossed paths many times at different venues becoming friends along the way. Dr. Flynn visited Eden Prairie, MN in 2006 to review a program developed and designed by Trade Innovations known at the Eden Prairie Partnership for Emergency Readiness (PER).
