Trade Innovations was instrumental in the design, development and overall implementation of the Partnership for Emergency Readiness (PER) in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This unique partnership between the local government and the business community was fashioned after the experience Trade Innovations Principals had in working with CBP to develop C-TPAT. It is designed to provide a more secure and resilient community.
The Eden Prairie PER program was cited in Dr. Stephen Flynn's critically acclaimed book The Edge of Disaster.
The Eden Prairie PER program is committed to developing the resources and expertise within the City of Eden Prairie necessary to coordinate emergency preparedness efforts. In order to maintain the City’s economic viability, it is incumbent upon members of the Eden Prairie business community to have a comprehensive and well-designed disaster response and recovery plan. One goal of the Partnership is to enhance the business community’s ability to return to normal operations as soon as possible following a disaster. The City provides meaningful benefits to PER members who meet or exceed the minimum qualifications for maintaining a business continuity plan and for conducting an annual security self-assessment.
