Liz, a seasoned CBP employee, has vowed to address many of the program's short-comings including things like the Portal 2.0, declining membership, lack of communication and other uniformity issues. At this point in time, holding a C-TPAT Conference would provide participants with very little value added. Postponing the C-TPAT conference until FY-2017 is a prudent thing to do and will afford Liz and CBP time to focus all energy and resources on fixing many of the program's problems. This will make attendance at the next C-TPAT Conference (most likely next summer or fall) a "must" for current certified C-TPAT members.
